Call of Duty World at War Wii Online in 2021

This is a workaround server to allow you to play Call of Duty: World at War online on the Wii again.
This still relies on Demonware/Activision's servers being up for the game.

How to Connect

(If you are using Dolphin or an unofficial loader such as USB Loader GX, please skip to the Gecko/Ocarina Method)

Wiimmfi DNS Method

This method requires that you have a working disc copy of Call of Duty: World at War.
(This method also works to play Black Ops 1, Modern Warfare 3 and MW: Reflex online, however entirely through Nintendo and Activision servers.)
There is a video tutorial provided by MrBean35000vr, designed for Wiimmfi, however works with World at War: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CBSQ9Afqiw
Wiimmfi Patcher created by Leseratte, who generously included my Call of Duty patches. The server is independently run by InvoxiPlayGames, with no relation to Wiimmfi.

  1. Change your Wii's DNS settings to have a primary DNS of 95.217.77.151, and a secondary DNS of 1.1.1.1.
  2. Go to the Internet settings, and select User Agreement (the buttom at the bottom). Click through Next.
  3. If all goes well, you should see the Wiimmfi logo and in 2 minutes, the game will start.
  4. You should be able to connect online again.
  5. You will have to run the patcher via the User Agreement every time you want to play the game again.

If you have any issues (e.g. Error 60000), please check the troubleshooting page here.

If you get error 23400, please try another method from this page.

Wiimmfi Disc Patcher Method

This method requires that you have the Homebrew Channel installed and a working disc copy of Call of Duty: World at War.
(This method also works to play Black Ops 1, Modern Warfare 3 and MW: Reflex online, however entirely through Nintendo and Activision servers.)

  3. Select "Wiimmfi Patcher", then select Launch.
  4. After a few seconds, World at War should launch, and you should be able to connect online again.

If you have any issues (e.g. Error 60000), please check the troubleshooting page here.

Gecko/Ocarina Method

This method requires you have some way to load Gecko (sometimes refered to as 'Ocarina') codes on your Wii. This can be done with Gecko OS, USB Loader GX, WiiFlow, CFG USB Loader, Neogamma, et cetera.
NoSSL code by FIX94. Domain changer code by Vega.
